Newquay Junior Academy Parent and Child Code of Conduct for online learning and live sessions

When my child is online at home and engaging in their daily live sessions, I will:

    1. Monitor my child’s internet use and check that they are using technology safely.

    2. Check my online protection systems to ensure their time online is as safe as possible.

    3. Check that they understand the task they have been set. If not, I will give help and support where required. Alternatively, I will use the appropriate email address detailed below to seek help.

    4. Make sure my child is sitting comfortably and in the correct position to learn.

    5. Ensure that they have a suitable amount of time away from the screen during the day.

    6. Discuss their work with them after they have completed it.

    7. Be mindful of my own language and that of others in my house whilst my child participates in live sessions with Newquay Junior Academy staff and other children.

    8. Not share class meeting links on public forums such as Facebook, Twitter or other social media or websites.

    9. Request duplicate meeting links from the academy direct should I lose access to them.

    10. Ensure that my child and other people in my house who may be viewed in the live session are appropriately dressed.
